‘What’s the catch?’ would, I am sure, be the response.

Well here’s the deal. In all honesty I don’t know too much but what I know I will share along with the all important link to visit on Friday 25th January at 12 Noon, Eastern Time.

Jason Potash the guy behind Content Composer and Article Announcer has been running a small scale Private Label Rights operation for users of Content Composer. The business is called Spin Ready PLR and what they do is provide users of ContentComposer with PLR articles every month. The unique feature of these articles is that they are already set up to run in ContentComposer so it is a piece of cake to create truly unique content for your websites and blogs. No more duplicate content worries, even if you never rewrite a single article!

Normally with PLR the users must share the articles with hundreds, if not thousands of other users unless the content is rewritten, by hand, over 70% of PLR users rewrite some or all of the articles that they buy. Spin Ready PLR provides the users with content that, as soon as it comes out of Content Composer is unlikely to be the same as any other user’s content. Jason even limits the numbers of subscribers to his membership to control this aspect.

What this means is that every member of Spin Ready PLR gets unique content, written by humans and of uniformly high quality. Hundreds, even thousands of articles ready for blogs, ezines, newsletters and websites.

But the downside was that in order to use this resource you had to own ContentComposer. Well, not any longer. Jason has introduced a version of Content Composer specifically for members of SpinReady PLR and on Friday at 12 noon the doors open to enable just a few – I understand less than 100 – people to join Spin Ready PLR.

Now, do not misunderstand, this version of Content Composer is designed to be used with Spin Ready PLR and is not fully functional, it does not in any sense replace the full version of CC that costs hundreds of dollars, just the transform functionality and some of the editing is available but the real opportunity here is access to this unique and high quality content. (and a chance to get an idea of why hundreds, if not thousands of people use Content Composer every day!)

Here is an idea of the numbers involved:

Spin Ready PLR provide 200 seed articles each month. Used without additional editing this gives up to 7200 articles output. With additional editing this figure increases and ensures that the chance of somebody else using the same content is negligable to zero.

I don’t know how the niches are broken down, but assuming 10 niches of 20 articles, that gives the opportunity to have about 700 unique articles pointing at each of your niche sites – how many blogs can you set up to run automatically all with valuable niche content, all pointing at your main sites.

This solves a load of problems in one fell swoop.

A poster asked about Article Announcer being featured in one of the ContentComposer demo videos. Confusion had arisen because Article Announcer was featured in submitting content to article directories. So I felt I’d address the issue here. Article Announcer is a premium article submission tool, one of its leading benefits is that one can submit different versions of articles to article directories and thus avoid any possible issues in respect of duplicated content filters.

Article Announcer is one of Jason Potash’s products so it seems to me to be perfectly sensible for him to feature it in his promotional tools. Content Composer does mesh very nicely with Article Announcer and the ‘Auto-rotate’ functionality but there is not any NEED for AA in a ContentComposer environment. In fact, the competing Article Post Robot also enables the use of multiple versions of articles to article directories and it is much cheaper than Article Announcer. Although it is not as complete a system, APR is a very fine piece of software.

So, among the most important benefits that one might look for in an article submssion software to be used with ContentComposer is the ability for the submitter to handle different versions of the article.

At the same time a question was raised about the use of the plagiarism detector in ContentComposer. A suggestion was made that its primary reason for being was to enable Content Composer users to more easily get away with plagiarism. This is not so.

The plagiarism detector is a part of the content management toolbox. As our businesses grow we start to need to source our own content; we outgrow PLR and syndicated sources as sole suppliers and need to employ our own writers, usually as freelancers. Sadly, not all of these writers are entirely honest and they will try to re-use content or fob the buyer off with plagiarised material. Very sensibly ContentComposer incorporates a tool to help manage this real issue. Of course, the owner of CC can also use it to compare his own writing with that of his source materials, a perfectly legitimate use. Of course though, like almost any tool, ContentComposer’s plagiarism detector can be used for bad purposes and also aid the determined copyright infringer.

I suggested to the poster that if the first and lasting impression of the use of the plagiarism detector was to enable ContentComposer users to get away with plagiarism then his business was probably not at the stage of development to warrant buying into this content management tool. ContentComposer is NOT suitable for every business at every stage of its development. Chances are that if there is no content strategy in place then CC will not be fully occupied, although for businesses growing and systematising ContentComposer probably makes a lot of sense as a tool for now and the future.

For readers of these posts, please remember, ContentComposer is not just an article rewriting tool. Whilst content spinning is a part of ContentComposer’s functionality, the reason for the existance of CC is as a tool for managing the content creation process from end to end.

The concept is simple; search engines, currently do not read HTML and so they ‘see’ only the text on the page. When the search engines parse the page content they index the content of the article, including the text snippet, and are supposed to count the whole as unique content.

There is support for the validity of this approach. In practical terms it is the same as the ‘Google approved’ method of uniqueifying by adding relevant commentary to an article. The technique of having text boxes is a recognised page/site design technique as it increases reader involvement in the page and, if the snippets carry functioning links, enables the reader to easily follow his/her interests deeper into the site. Thus it is unlikley that the use of snippets, per se, will ever be penalised by search engines but they may begin to start to consider the footprints that may be visible.

Some snippet insertion systems use a very heavy footprint such as a ‘snippethere’ tag which makes it obvious what is happening is an artificial attempt to game the search engines. So, if considering using such a tool check the actual page output before purchasing it!

ContentComposer does not use snippet insertion as the tool is not a page builder. Adding commentaries to Content Composer documents is, though, very easy.

I use snippets extensively in my sites when I am using large quantities of syndicated material and wish to avoid duplicate content filtering whilst still providing value to my readers. In practice it seems to work well, especially when implemented with a strong link building strategy.

 

Anyway, enough rambling. Jason sent an email announcing that as from Thursday the free PLR subscription was going to be withdrawn. If you were thinking of buying and just biding your time this might be a good a time as any to jump on. Essentially phrase substitution is a brother to synonym substitution, it comes from the premise that changing words makes content unique. With phrase substitution one changes anything from a single word up to a whole paragraph, one can use one variant, or more, there is no fixed limit on how many variants there should be. Some systems use phrase substitution in conjunction with other forms of rewriting, Content Composer is one of those. These integrated systems can give the most flexibility and degree of change. However, phrase substitution, used on its own can also be a very viable article rewriting strategy. In addition to Content Composer I use a program from Cuztech which is pretty basic but very easy to use. Their PLR Spinner allows the user to very rapidly create even hundreds of unique articles in minutes using very simple techniques. To create versions one simply types {version one of article|second variant} and lets the software spin as many new versions as you wish. The great thing about phrase sustitution is that the process of making the new versions of the article is very natural, no need to think about dictionaries and thesauruses, just write and instead of throwing out changes that you might have previously discarded you keep them! Systems like PLR Spinner even enable users to ‘nest’ changes within the brackets, creating whole new levels of change.

Compared to synonym substitution phrase substitution is favoured because it usually changes the structure of the article as a whole. It works best when the user changes whole phrases with differing numbers of words in them.

Most of the Phrase substitution software does not keep track of how much variety there is between one version and another, this is a failing. As webmasters and site owners we seek to feed the needs of the search engines and our readership because we know that if we have nothing to offer them then they will not even come to our pages. For this reason many of us have been seeking the ‘holy grail’ the automatic text rewriter that can create good quality content in less time than writing the material ourselves and for less money than paying a ghostwriter to write for us.
