No Duplicate Content: Rewrite With Phrase Substitution

Phrase substitution is one of my favourite rewriting systems. It is, by its nature, manual in setup but once done can produce great quantities of high quality rewritten articles on tap.

Essentially phrase substitution is a brother to synonym substitution, it comes from the premise that changing words makes content unique. With phrase substitution one changes anything from a single word up to a whole paragraph, one can use one variant, or more, there is no fixed limit on how many variants there should be. Some systems use phrase substitution in conjunction with other forms of rewriting, Content Composer is one of those. These integrated systems can give the most flexibility and degree of change. However, phrase substitution, used on its own can also be a very viable article rewriting strategy. In addition to Content Composer I use a program from Cuztech which is pretty basic but very easy to use. Their PLR Spinner allows the user to very rapidly create even hundreds of unique articles in minutes using very simple techniques. To create versions one simply types {version one of article|second variant} and lets the software spin as many new versions as you wish. The great thing about phrase sustitution is that the process of making the new versions of the article is very natural, no need to think about dictionaries and thesauruses, just write and instead of throwing out changes that you might have previously discarded you keep them! Systems like PLR Spinner even enable users to ‘nest’ changes within the brackets, creating whole new levels of change.

Compared to synonym substitution phrase substitution is favoured because it usually changes the structure of the article as a whole. It works best when the user changes whole phrases with differing numbers of words in them.

Most of the Phrase substitution software does not keep track of how much variety there is between one version and another, this is a failing. Content Composer does enable these comparisons of duplicate content to be made and as a free gift to all readers we have, courtesy of the guys at Content Composer, software that you can use with your favourite rewriter to see just how good a job it is doing! Content Composer Removes Duplicate Content

One of the features I have enjoyed using in Content Composer is the rewriting, or spinning function.

In Version 2.0 of Content Composer I gained the ability to make variable titles for articles. This was not just a simple ability to have multiple titles rotated in series or at random, but also a much more sophisticated capability to enable me to make custom merges so that I can have a keyword token in the the title and have different keywords inserted into different forms or the title. All will be perfectly readable and serve to make the article appear much more relevant to more sub niches.

For example, using just a simple example:

‘My Guide to %THEMEKWDS% Care’ can then pull in from your keyword list words like: Dog, Cat, Poodle, Labrador, Persian, Tabby etc etc, so that your article can immediately focus on a new niche or subniche.

Of course the same process is a part of the body of the article where as well as having different versions of each paragraph and footer I can insert keywords from my keyword list. So now, in one process I can build out content for a range of niche sites:

Dog Care - poodle care, labrador care, puppy care, old dog care, bulldogcare

Possibly even: Cat Care - siamese care, persian care, tabby care, moggy care!

All unique content on different sites, all of interest to different groups of readers but all written at the same time from the same basic information. Best of all, no duplicate content filters. Each article is in the right context, valuable and unique as far as readers and search engines are concerned.

BTW, when each article run is finished I can check just how much variation I have achieved. I use a built in function of Content Composer to do that. Now, the same fiunction is available for free: Free Duplicate Content Checking Software Even when working manually, or with more basic content spinners this useful tool will give you an edge up on your competitors.

Free Duplicate Content Checker Software (make your articles unique)

Most systems for making unique content rely upon the process of rewriting articles. One problem faced by writers is that they do not know when they have rewritten enough of their content for it to be considered unique in the eyes of Google and other search engines. Of course the search engines ain’t telling!

However, it seems that if one rewrites so that about 30% of content is ‘unique’ to a particular article then this seems to be enough. But how to know, reliably, when the target figure has been reached?

Most duplicate checking systems are set up, it seems to find examples of copied content. Finding software to check your OWN work is much harder. However, Jason Potash has come up with a neat FREE tool called ‘Content Checkup’ check it out. It enables you to check exactly how much of an article has been rewritten, either by yourself, your article spinning software or your ghostwriters. Now, whatever method you use to make your unique content, with Jason Potash’s free software you can know just how well you are succeeding at altering it.
